OSU's Day of Caring
OSU's Day of Caring took place Sept 19th, 2016.
The Center for Civic Engagement partnered with us and sent 12 volunteer students out to our Gleicher program and our 29th Street program.
The students helped with yard clean up and planting fall flowers in the ground and in planters.
It was a fantastic day and we were able to distribute fall planters to several programs.
Day of Caring Project was a success and Benco is very thankful for the hard work of all of these compassionate students!
Employee of the Month!
of 17th Street.
Paul is a great staff. He has the kindest manner with the residents. He always speaks to them with such respect and dignity. Asking them what they would like to do, if they are ready, and waiting patiently if they are not. He does not rush things along but gives them the time they need. He performs medical treatments with great care, using effective communication and a gentle manner to avoid discomfort. Paul is always paying attention to the needs and wants of the residents. This includes asking residents what they would like to eat or drink, if they would like to go on an outing now or later and politely responding to all the questions and requests from the residents.
