Miriam Responds well to people. She has only been working here a short while and already has proven herself a valued member of Witham Hill. She had a challenging behavior that was handled well and stayed for the rest of her shift, which was successful. She is always helpful and kind with her coworkers.
Miriam has a positive attitude that affects the program/people. The client is doing more crafts than ever. Miriam shares so many of her own supplies and great creative ideas. Being crafty can help the client relax. When the toilet overflowed Miriam stayed calm and positive even though it was just before shift change.
Miriam is a problem solver. She has great brainstorming ideas to get things done while at staff meetings.
Miriam has self-initiative and/or is a self-starter. Miriam often gets many chores done before her overnights are over. She always corrects paperwork mistakes within a few hours.
Miriam can handle stressful situations. She has dealt with a behavior in public while on her 3rd or 4th shift and then stayed for the rest of the shift.
Miriam follows ISP/BSP goals. She is great about getting the client to participate in crafts and yoga with her, often before 10am. She is great for the client's well being.
The client loves working with Miriam. They ask about her and stay engaged for all of her shifts, often it takes the client months to warm up to a new staff, and it took then less than 2 shifts with Miriam.
Miriam is new and has already proven herself as a vital member of our team tha we couldn't work without. Every shift with her is productive and inspiring.
